But then I thought about it, why am I playing with my watch? Isn’t it because you like the sense of solidity that “can withstand scrutiny from the inside out”? This time UFO Factory focused on details in invisible places, but it made me feel that it has an attitude – not to cope with the market, but to really want to make something. In addition to the movement, I am also satisfied with the texture of the entire watch: the case has a natural curvature, the timing buttons are smooth and damped when pressed, the luminous brightness is uniform, and even the rivet details of the strap are exactly the same as the original.
So my suggestion is:
- If, like me, you are a stickler for details and like the perfectionism of “you can’t find fault even if you take it apart”, then this Daytona from UFO Factory is definitely worth buying;
- But if you value practicality and cost-effectiveness more, and think “you can’t see it anyway, wouldn’t it be nice to save 2,000 yuan?”, then there are many high-end and affordable options on the market.
Regardless, I’m glad to see replica bezels progressing. It is “realists” like UFO Factory who force the entire industry to move forward. For our cousin friends, more choices and higher quality are the real bonuses.
